New Assembly Press #200
Beckwood Press Company has recently designed and manufactured a new
Assembly Press for large stroke and daylight applications that is
efficiently designed for a short bed requirement. This press features a
2-Post frame with a 10" bed height and is equipped with a bed shuttle
with two spring loaded roller tracks.
Beckwood recently delivered one of these presses, which is being used to assemble electric motors for a leading industrial motor manufacturer. It has a 25 ton capacity and is equipped with a 2 ton roller track bed shuttle system which is powered within the press using two 24" stroke hydraulic cylinders.
The Beckwood press features a 54" stroke, 87" daylight, and a 34" x
34" bed. Multiple safety systems have been installed for 4-sided access
protection including a 50" light curtain and bolt on & fixed
expanded metal guarding. A programmable Allen Bradley PLC control
system and pedestal mounted dual ergonomic zero force touch buttons are
also featured.
