ST. LOUIS, MO - Beckwood Press Company has recently shipped a custom 1200 Ton Integrated Hydraulic Press to Senior Aerospace, a leading Aerospace/ Medical/ Semiconductor Industry Supplier. This 4-post hydraulic press is used to form precision metal bellows and was integrated with a push-pull servo feed system, straightener and pay out reel. PLC controls serve to automate the entire system. It was specifically designed to fit within a low ceiling requirement by utilizing a remote power system and efficient press design.
The press and feed system utilize a single control system for all run parameters, which provides for single platform responsibility and ease of use. The Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 PLC control system with Mitsubishi Operator Interface has 500 parts or recipe job storage.
Dynamic Pressure Control is utilized for highly precise pressure repeatability and the press is equipped with set-up, semi-automatic and fully automatic operation modes.
The press is guarded by light curtains and a rear gate with a safety interlocking system. Other features incorporate a QDC system that includes a Hilma Carr Lane die lift with a hydraulic die clamping systems and a Trabon Lubriquip ram slide auto-lubrication system.
