Beckwood Press Company offers the industry's best solution for applications with off-center loading problems. Progressive and some standard punch/die applications are off-center loaded and result in an out of balance condition that is harmful to the tooling and the press.
Beckwood has value engineered numerous presses specifically to counteract these off-center loading problems.
Their latest line of off-center loading hydraulic presses include more advanced controls and an enhanced design for maximum product efficiency. Beckwood uses the latest in horizontal axis control with high speed valving and dual linear transducers for closed loop parallelism control.
The most recently produced off-center loading press is the 6th press for a tier 1 automotive supplier and involves a 230-ton hydraulic press with bolster dimensions of 36" x 120". It is equipped with 8 5/8" diameter housing posts, 30" long oversized ram slide bushings for over 3200 square inches of guidance and 1" x 16" vertical straight side beams that are attached to counteract off-center loading stresses.
